'Make Learning Awesome'

That's the slogan for 'Kahoot!', one game-learning platform using multi-choices quizzes for education in the information era. It's being extremely helpful for teachers in the modern classroom.

Introduction

As one educational tool serving for the modern classroom, there are many different options for users. You can sign up as a teacher, a student or socially. Obviously, the aim of this website is using technology to motivate students in classes for more engagement. Game Organization

The organization of this game is very easy. Teachers present the pre-made questions and choices on the screen and students join the room by pin number.

Students can work solely or team up. Using their smartphones to choose correct answers (each option is represented by one colour), which can't be more convenient.

Each question has reward points for the correct answer. Each player's points will be recorded and decide the rank at last.

How to make the Kahoot! game?

Since it's a very fashioned and convenient tool for teaching, in the recent professional practice module I and my partner made a Kahoot! game based on the topic of our class. It's a vocabulary review of the article that we use as the content for our class. I will explain to you how to use this easy tool by introducing our game step by step. If you want to see the final version, here is the link: https://play.kahoot.it/#/?quizId=364c37dc-d583-4e6a-9203-14b92ba37ae8.

One: the frame

After clicking the create button, you will be lead into that page. In here, you need to give your small game a title, a description, the type of language, your audience and your cover picture.

Two: add questions

In the next step, we need to add our questions. You can add as many questions as you want. In every question, you need to give your question and supply two to four answers. You can choose one to four answers to be correct by clicking the button near the answer block. By the way, you can also set the time for each question.

Three: save and share

This is the final step. After you add in all your questions, you can save your game in your own account. You can edit it or review it or share it and play it at any time you want! It's very easy and simple HUH!

Comments: simple but great

It's so easy to create a Kahoot! the game as I have shown you in the last part.  But at the same time, it can be greatly competitive and attractive for students. In your most boring part of your class such as vocabulary review and grammar review, you can use this tool to fully motivate your students to participate in the class. This kind of competitive game learning is also much more effective than usual learning. Because the competition can easily drag more cognition resource of students in the learning. And the best thing is you don't need to pay for this tool. It's free!!! In conclusion, my dear friend, try Kahoot! this week! you will be surprised.
